A winged seed that would normally whirl away in autumn, captured in copper: real sycamore maple seeds, electroformed in our workshop in the Black Forest. The copper grows directly on the seed and preserves every vein of the wing. After patinating and hand-polishing, the recesses stay dark while the raised lines glow a warm copper.
Above sits a round bead of brecciated jasper, with brick-red fragments in pale grey quartz, framed by white shell discs and black seed beads. The two seeds grew as mirror images and form a harmonious pair. At around 2.4 g per earring, they are pleasantly light to wear.

Care
The copper is deliberately left unsealed and darkens over time. A soft cloth brings back the shine. Take them off before showering, swimming and exercising, and keep them away from perfume and creams. Store dry, ideally in a small pouch.
